We harvest Macrocystis Integrifolia in British Columbia where it finds ideal conditions: cold and pristine waters and long sunny days in the growing season. The kelp is hand harvested by a band of local natives with the rules of a tradition which dates back many centuries ago.

Macrocystis Integrifolia can grow up to 100 feet (30 mt.) in length. It is the fastest growing plant in the ocean. Under ideal conditions it can grow as much as two feet (60 cm.) per day.

The superior qualities of the Macrocystis Integrifolia have been known very well by the local population who used it in their diet as well as for its healing properties.
